Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila officers reported the progress on the arrangements for the online admission exam through the ExBach platform for Bachelor and Postgraduate on July 4 and 6, for Health Sciences on July 7 and for High School on July 11.

During the press conference, our President Salvador Hernández Vélez, reported that so far, from a total of 23,948; 16,568 applicants have already selected their schedule for the online admission exam, noting that the deadline for this process is July 3.

He highlighted that UAdeC is prepared to receive up to a thousand applicants in the multimedia classrooms in different parts of the state and that until now, 321 candidates have requested a space since that they do not have access to Internet or computer equipment to present the test.

He also announced that those who pass the exam will start online classes on August 10, following the directions given by the federal and state health and education authorities, the students are expected to return to classrooms in September.

The Vice President of the Office of Academic Affairs, Octavio Pimentel Martínez, announced the hours for Bachelor and Postgraduate Programs on July 4 and 6 will be at 9:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00; while, for applicants to Medicine and Biomedical Engineering programs, the exam will be on July 7 at 9:00 and 14:00.

On the other hand, the High School admission exam will be on Saturday, July 11 at 9:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00. Pimentel commented that those who have already selected their schedule for the exam are encouraged to do the pilot test from June 29 to July 3, to verify that all the applicants understood the instructions, generate communication channels during the test, and corroborate the internet connectivity.

Pimentel Martínez said that the mailbox for inquiries and questions is still available on the UAdeC Academic Affairs website: http://www.uadec.mx/asuntos-academicos/ and on the Admissions page: http: // www.admisiones.uadec.mx/aspirantes/wf_home.aspx#, along with the section “Frequently Asked Questions” and their answers.

Regarding the security and authenticity during the test, the Vice President of the Office of Information and Communication Technologies, Carlos Casillas Gutiérrez, explained that it is not possible for applicants to copy because the exam questions are time sensitive, and answers are difficult to find in the search engines.

In the same way, he said that through the webcam, the virtual classroom monitors will be able to interact, authenticate and supervise the candidates, and if someone does not follow the instructions, the exam may be invalidated.

To ensure connectivity between the ExBach platform and users, Casillas Gutiérrez informed that there are two additional backup servers for loading up to 1,800 exams simultaneously; hence, if a student loses the connection, he can return to the section where he was during the answers.

On the other hand, the Vice President of the Office of Distance Education, Félix Ibarra Linares, reported that 1,267 people registered for the online preparation course, with 991 applicants for bachelor's degree and 279 for high school programs.
